Things To See & Do

Fort William and the area surrounding has a large variety of things to see and do that are available for all the family, young or old. We have listed a selection of these below.

The Nevis Centre

The Nevis Centre offers a full size Ten Pin Bowling Alley, music events and a soft play area for children.

The Leisure Centre

Our local Leisure Centre has both large and small heated swimming pools, climbing wall, gym, sauna and steam room.

Nevis Range

Nevis Range offers some of the best skiing and snow boarding and mountain biking right on our doorstep. The gondolas run all day to the top station making it easy to enjoy some hill walking or sight seeing over Fort William.

The Ice Factor

The Ice Factor features the UK’s largest artificial rock climbing wall and bouldering hall. For those of you who are a bit more adventurous you could try their new obstacle course.

The Jacobite Steam Train

The Jacobite Steam Train runs between Fort William and Mallaig from June until the end of September. You can relax and take in all the stunning views of Lochaber before arriving in the small fishing village of Mallaig.

Crannog Cruises

You can cruise down Loch Linnhe on board the “Souter’s Lass” to Seal Island and take in some local knowledge from their local skipper.

Vertical Descents

Vertical Descents is an outdoor activity centre offering a wide range of activities including canyoning, white water rafting, bridge swing, paint balling and mountain biking.

Travel Information

From the South

Directions from the south: traveling along the A82 with loch linnhe on the left as you pass the yacht club also on the left, Westcourt is the second house on the right.

From the North

Directions from the north: traveling on the A82 go straight through the west end roundabout, follow the signs for Glasgow, 500m on the left you will find us.
